2/24/2023 0 Comments Clover efi volumes file![]() ![]() Oh and on a side note, why is my screen displaying such low resolution, i get that when i install windows but in windows it is easily changed while on mac os x i am stuck at 1 resolution (probs just gotta install nvidia driver so this isn't a big issue atm). Update 4: I managed to install clover by unchecking the "install to esp", but i would like it to be installed on the esp. Update 3: After reinstalling OS 10.10.4 multiple times (making sure to erase the drive before reinstalling), i cannot use the same settings to install clover (emu, fix1 and fix2). When i do mount it with efi mounter as previously mentioned, i get an empty EFI folder. Update 2: When trying to recreate the EFI partition using "sudo newfs_msdos -v EFI -F 32 /dev/disk0s1" i get one (or both) of the following errors: "msdos table is unavailable" or "/dev/disk0s1 is not a character device". WTF! I just created it and now it's telling me there isn't one. HOWEVER, when i then try to mount the efi, either with the efi mounter or using the command "sudo mount -t msdos /dev/disk0s1 /Volumes/efi" i get the error "no such file or directory". I then redo the command to make the directory and this time i get no error. Then i go on to delete the partition with the command: rm -rf /Volumes/EFI. ![]() Update 1: When trying to create a partition with the command "mkdir /Volumes/efi" it says that it already exists. If i try to unmount it, i get an error message saying that it is not mounted and if i try to mount it i get an empty folder. ![]() When opening the EFI Mounter (v2) i get a message "Would you like to mount or unmount EFI partition" although i never even created such a partition. I then proceeded to install clover, which after some fiddling was a success. I used the bootflags -v -x -f npci=0x2000 cpus=0 nv_disable=1 to manage to install os x and get into os x. I managed to finish the install and then patch the install (bob roche's video guide). You can check Fix Clovy Clovy in r/Hackintosh Multiboot guide. After completely giving up on my z87 rig i attempted to install os x on my main rig, an x99 ud5, gtx 970, 5820k. Note that on some laptops with weird BIOS configurations (like InysideH2O on ACER or HP, and especially VAIO laptops), this may have no effect on boot priority and would still boot windows if it's still installed. 00 is the boot order ranking, 00 being the very first one, and it increments by one, 01 being the second, 02 being the third and so on.Use bcfg boot add 00 FS0:\EFI\BOOT\BOOTX64.EFI Cloverto add an entry to your boot map.Use bcfg boot dump to view your currently configured boot devices (you may see your USB in this list for validation).Use caution to make sure this device is not your USB stick. Use ls to determine the content of the device.Once you have an idea of your device, select it by typing DEVICE: replacing device with the actual device.bcfg - Boot configuration, used to read and write BIOS boot data.ls or dir - List the content of the selected drive.drive: - Change to the drive you select.map - Lists devices that you can boot from. Most newer computers will pick up Clover automatically, but if it doesn't appear as a bootable selection in your BIOS here's how to correct it. If you're able to boot into CLOVER, you can skip the next section and move onto Display Configuration. You may need to go into your BIOS and set Clover first in your boot order. That's it! Unmount your USB stick in Finder, and reboot without it. ![]()
